|Forgotten Realms: Baldur's Gate|
Set in Ed Greenwood's Forgotten Realms™, "Baldur's Gate" 1998 RPG of the Year, is the first in a series of outstanding titles:
"Tales of The Sword Coast" was released in 1999 as an expansion of the first game, providing the flexibility of digressing from the first game if you hadn't finished that - or starting from scratch. Baldur's Gate II, "Shadows of Amn" was released in late 2000, and "Throne of Bhaal" .. the expansion set for BGII was available in Autumn, 2001...

|Baldur's Gate uses
the AD&D 2nd Edition rules, the oldest and most popular role-playing
game rules used by table-top game players world-wide. Although
there is no substitute for a genuine "human" Dungeon
Master", the teams at BioWare corp., Black Isle Studios and
Interplay have produced a game that should make TSR very happy!
No small game this ... the main package contains 5 CD's and recommends at least a 200MHz MMX Pentium, 600MB of free hard drive space, 32MB RAM, 4MB Video card and a x8 or faster CDROM.
|Tales of the Sword Coast is an expansion of Baldur's Gate, requiring that the original game is installed. You may install it at any time, continue your journey through the original game and digress to the new areas as you find them. If you have already defeated the original game, game play is reset to Chapter Seven ~ just before the 'final' battle and your extended adventures begin in Ulgoth's Beard. An added bonus is Roger Wilco™ voice communications software that allows you to talk with friends over the 'net while playing multiplayer.|
